Terms of Use and Refund Policy

Terms of Use

Last updated: 11 October 2026.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Greek Lessons for You is the trading name of ΛΑΜΠΙΡΗ ΕΛΕΝΗ ΠΡΕΚΑΣ ΠΑΝΑΓΙΩΤΗΣ Ο Ε (Greek general partnership / Ο.Ε.), established at Leoforos Vasilissis Olgas 83, Thessaloniki 54642, Greece, VAT number 803382957, registration number 195743506000 (GEMI / ΓΕΜΗ). Contact: info@greeklessons4u.com; telephone: +30 690 611 1187 or +30 697 626 8885. Telephone contact hours: Monday–Thursday, 09:30–13:00, Greece local time (Europe/Athens). This seller supplies the courses sold through www.greeklessons4u.com and greeklessons4u.thinkific.com. Thinkific provides the learning platform; it is not your language teacher or the seller of our educational content.

2. Scope and your purchase

These terms apply to our website and self-paced digital courses. The course description, checkout information and any specific written offer form part of your purchase contract. Mandatory consumer rights prevail over these terms. Live private lessons, group classes and subscriptions require their own terms disclosed before booking; the digital-content withdrawal exception below does not automatically apply to them.

3. What My Doorway to Greek includes

My Doorway to Greek is a self-paced introductory Modern Greek alphabet, reading and pronunciation course for complete beginners. It is not a complete A1 course and does not promise fluency or an accredited qualification. Your purchase includes the videos, activities, PDFs, audio, answer materials, portfolio and Cultural Greek Alphabet bonus identified in the offer at the time of purchase. Keep a copy of that offer. Personal support for questions about the course is included via email at info@greeklessons4u.com or direct messages to our Greek Lessons for You social media accounts. This is asynchronous support; it does not promise an immediate or 24-hour response. Scheduled live lessons, individual marking and additional products are included only if expressly stated in your offer. Learning outcomes depend on practice and individual circumstances; this does not reduce our duty to provide the content and features promised.

4. Price, payment and access

The checkout must disclose the total payable price, including applicable taxes and mandatory charges, before you place a paid order. Currency conversion or charges imposed independently by your bank are outside our control. My Doorway to Greek is sold for a one-time payment, unless an expressly different offer is shown and accepted. Future price changes do not change completed purchases.

Following successful payment, access is provided through your learner account. Your purchase includes lifetime access to My Doorway to Greek, beginning when access is activated after successful payment. There is no preset course expiry date and no renewal payment is required to retain access to the purchased course. This promise is not shortened merely because the course is no longer offered to new buyers or we change hosting platforms. Any cessation of supply remains subject to the continuity obligations and statutory remedies below. We will honour any longer access period expressly promised in your purchase. Contact us if access does not arrive or the login link fails.

5. Technical requirements

You need a compatible internet-connected computer, tablet or phone, a current supported web browser, audio playback and a PDF reader for downloadable documents. Streaming requires a suitable internet connection. Interactive activities may use external services and require a separate browser window. Any additional account, paid software, material restriction or known compatibility limitation required for the course must be disclosed in the offer before purchase. Contact us before buying if you have accessibility or compatibility questions.

6. Account and permitted use

Provide accurate account and purchase details and keep your login credentials secure. Access is for the enrolled learner; do not share accounts. Notify us of suspected unauthorised use. An adult purchaser may buy for a minor only where we have agreed an appropriate arrangement before purchase.

We grant the enrolled learner a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased materials for their own learning during the agreed access period. You may download or print materials expressly offered for download for your own study. Do not resell, publish, distribute, share publicly, sublicense or use our materials to deliver a commercial course without our written permission, except where permitted by law. Intellectual property remains with its respective owner.

7. Refunds and withdrawal

The Refund and Withdrawal Policy below forms part of these terms. We do not offer a voluntary satisfaction guarantee or discretionary change-of-mind refunds. This does not exclude statutory withdrawal, non-supply, non-conformity or other mandatory refund rights. A purchase or general acceptance of these terms alone does not waive your statutory right of withdrawal.

8. Support and service continuity

For access problems, missing materials, complaints or billing questions, email info@greeklessons4u.com with your order reference and a description of the issue. Never email full card details or passwords. We will investigate and provide the remedies required by law. Maintenance or a temporary third-party interruption does not automatically remove your entitlement to the purchased course. We will take reasonable steps to restore access and keep you informed of material problems.

We may correct errors and provide necessary updates, including security updates. We will not use changes to remove promised core content, shorten agreed access or override statutory rights. Any material modification must meet applicable legal requirements, including notification and any right to terminate. If we cease supplying a course during a promised access period, statutory remedies remain available.

9. Conduct and suspension

Do not harass others, upload unlawful content, misuse the platform or infringe intellectual property. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security risks or a material breach. Where appropriate we will explain the reason and allow the issue to be corrected. Suspension is proportionate and does not remove mandatory consumer remedies or automatically forfeit all payments.

10. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed. Service emails relating to your purchase are separate from optional marketing. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchasing. We will not publish identifiable student work, images or testimonials without an appropriate lawful basis and, where necessary, separate permission.

11. Responsibility and mandatory rights

We are responsible for providing the content as agreed and complying with applicable law. We do not guarantee a particular study pace, examination result or fluency level. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or any other protected claim. We do not require you to surrender statutory warranties, consumer remedies or lawful payment-dispute rights.

12. Governing law, complaints and changes

Greek law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of habitual residence. No clause restricts your right to bring proceedings before a court available to you under applicable law. Contact us first if you wish so we can try to resolve a concern; this is not a condition for exercising legal rights. Eligible consumers may contact the Greek Consumer Ombudsman at www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr or their European Consumer Centre.

The version agreed when you buy applies to your purchase. Future versions apply to future purchases unless a lawful change to an existing contract is separately made. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Refund and Withdrawal Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026.

Seller: ΛΑΜΠΙΡΗ ΕΛΕΝΗ ΠΡΕΚΑΣ ΠΑΝΑΓΙΩΤΗΣ Ο Ε, trading as Greek Lessons for You, Leoforos Vasilissis Olgas 83, Thessaloniki 54642, Greece. Email: info@greeklessons4u.com.

1. No voluntary change-of-mind guarantee

We do not offer a voluntary money-back or satisfaction guarantee for our self-paced digital courses. Subject to your statutory rights, we do not refund purchases because you change your mind, lack time to study, stop using the course or prefer another learning method. Non-use alone does not create a refund entitlement after a statutory withdrawal period has expired or a withdrawal right has been validly lost.

2. EU/EEA statutory withdrawal and immediate digital supply

Where applicable, consumers have 14 days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. For paid digital content supplied online rather than on a physical medium, this right is lost only once supply has begun with your prior express consent to begin during the withdrawal period, your acknowledgement of the resulting loss of the withdrawal right, and the required contract confirmation on a durable medium, such as email.

For video or audio content, starting the download or stream is relevant to when supply begins. Payment, account creation, access being made available or agreeing to general terms alone is not treated as an automatic waiver. If these requirements have not been met, your statutory withdrawal rights remain available as provided by law, including any applicable extension for missing information.

Where an immediate-supply consent option is offered, it must be separate from general acceptance of our terms and confirmed on a durable medium. Unless the legal requirements described above have actually been fulfilled, we do not treat your withdrawal right as waived. No clause here asserts that you have already given consent.

3. Problems with the content or payment

This policy does not limit your remedies if the course is not supplied, is defective or does not conform to the description or contract. Depending on the circumstances, applicable law may entitle you to supply, correction, a price reduction or termination and reimbursement. Contact us so we can investigate; there is no arbitrary short reporting deadline that replaces your legal rights. Confirmed duplicate or erroneous charges will be corrected. We do not deduct administrative or processing fees from a refund where the law requires a full refund.

4. How to withdraw or request help

Email info@greeklessons4u.com with an unambiguous statement that you wish to withdraw, or describe the problem and remedy requested. Include your name, course title, purchase date and order reference if available. An order reference helps us locate the purchase but is not a condition of a valid statutory withdrawal. You do not need to justify a statutory withdrawal. You may also use any withdrawal option displayed in the billing section of your Thinkific learner account. Email remains an additional contact route and does not replace an online withdrawal function where one is legally required.

For a valid statutory withdrawal, reimbursement will be made without undue delay and within 14 days of being informed, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise and without fees. For other remedies, the applicable statutory procedure and deadline apply. Your bank may take additional time to display the credit. Following a valid termination or withdrawal, access to the refunded content may be disabled and you must cease using it.

5. Other products and countries

Live teaching and mixed offers are assessed under the rules applicable to their actual content; they are not automatically excluded from withdrawal because delivered online. Any booking or cancellation conditions must be separately disclosed before purchase. Mandatory protections applicable in other jurisdictions remain unaffected.
