Learn Greek with Native Speakers

Hello. We are Apostolia and Eleni.

If you are here, you may not simply want lessons.
You may want to learn Greek with native speakers' guidance in a way that feels intellectually solid and deeply human.

Greek is not just a language we teach.

It is the language we were raised in.

It carries our childhood sounds, our family conversations, our literature, our humor, our contradictions. And because of that, teaching it, is never neutral for us.

It is personal.

We are both native Greek teachers with more than two decades of experience in language education. But experience alone does not define our work.

Perspective does.

We have spent years teaching, and just as many years learning.

We are not only teachers. We are lifelong learners.

We know the hesitation before speaking in a foreign language.
The small fear of making mistakes.
The quiet pride when a sentence finally flows naturally.

That is why our teaching is never about authority.  It is about guidance.

When you look for a Greek language course by a Greek teacher, you are not searching for theory.

You are searching for authenticity.

Not textbook Greek.
Not robotic pronunciation.
Not isolated grammar.

You want the language as it is spoken, felt, and lived.

Authenticity is not only about pronunciation.
It is context.  It is rhythm.  It is knowing when something is said, and why.

As modern Greek teachers, we do more than explain grammar.
We reveal how thought is structured inside language.

Greek invites precision.  It invites nuance.  It invites attention.

At the same time, it invites laughter, exaggeration, warmth, and storytelling.

Learning Greek online should not feel fragmented or mechanical.

It should feel coherent.
Culturally grounded.
Historically aware.
Emotionally alive.

Less like a classroom.
More like a long table under the Greek sky.

That is what we offer.

Eleni

I have been a T.E.S.O.L. teacher for nearly 27 years, and for 25 of those years, I have had the privilege of running my own language school. Over the course of this journey, I have come to understand the complexity and challenges in learning a new language, for children and adults alike.

I have witnessed the fear, the hesitation, and the quiet doubts:

Will I succeed?

Do I have the ability to remember new rules?

Will I ever express myself confidently?

Am I “too old” to begin something new?

What will others think of me?

These concerns are natural. They are human. But I have always believed - and have consistently reminded my students - that it is never too late to learn anything. Growth has no age limit. Dreams have no expiration date.

For all these years, I have shared one simple yet powerful motto with my students:  “KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.”

As a modern Greek teacher and lifelong language learner myself, I understand deeply what it means to step into a new linguistic world.

Beyond Greek and English, I also speak Spanish, Italian, and French, and I am currently learning Portuguese. Each new language feels like opening a door to a new world - discovering how people think, live, and express themselves - embracing culture, customs, and traditions.

This personal journey allows me to guide you with confidence when you choose to learn Greek with native speaker support, because I stand both as a teacher and as a student.

I am passionate about traveling and have had the opportunity to visit several countries, where I was able to practice the languages I have learned. I deeply understand the burning passion one can feel for a language - that inner spark that drives you to communicate, to connect, to belong.

Together with my dear friend Apostolia, I am here to support you in a way that feels structured, encouraging, and culturally alive.

And just as importantly, we are honored to learn from you as well.

Because language is not only about words.
It is about connection.  It is about courage.  It is about becoming.

Apostolia

For me, language has always been about depth.

I studied Lettres Modernes at Université Paris 3 because literature fascinated me - the layers, the symbolism, the hidden meanings.

Later, I completed my Master’s in Teaching at Frederick University of Cyprus and worked in literary translation and creative writing.

As a native Greek teacher, what draws me in is what lives beneath the surface of words.

Their roots. Their evolution. Their emotional weight.

I love discovering where a word began, and how it traveled through centuries to reach us.

This is why, when you enroll in our Greek language course, I want you to feel that you are not just studying vocabulary, but engaging with history and meaning.

I love literature, theatre, cinema because they show how language becomes human.

And yes, I love cats. The quiet presence of a cat next to a book feels like the perfect metaphor for learning: calm, patient, attentive.

After 20 years of teaching, I still feel humbled by language.

It is vast. It connects worlds. And it constantly reminds me that learning never truly ends.

We are both certified to teach Greek as a foreign language to adult learners and we created this space because we both love our language and our culture deeply.

But we also love discovering how it resonates with you.

The conversations that begin with Greek and expand into something much bigger.

We care deeply about intercultural exchange.

We don’t only want to teach you our language.
We want to discover yours.

Your stories.
Your worldview.
Your traditions.
The similarities that surprise us.
The differences that enrich us.

Because language is not a monologue.
It’s an encounter.

If you’re here, it means you feel something for Greece.

And if that feeling is strong enough to bring you here, then perhaps it’s time to give it a voice.

We would love to walk this path with you.

Not as distant instructors.
But as companions in a meaningful and culturally grounded journey - the kind you expect from a serious Greek language course.
